How do I upload my weather station data / add weather stations?
🌧 Adding a weather station to Sectormentor
Go to Settings on the web app and then Add Weather Station.
Add the name of the weather station, and select which blocks it applies to (if you only have one weather station it probably applies to all blocks).
Once the weather station has been created you can now see it in the list of weather stations on the settings page.
You will need to repeat this for each separate weather station and sensor that will have data imported into Sectormentor.
Setting up automatic weather station integration with Trak365
To
set up your Trak 365 weather station for automatic data integration into
Sectormentor, you will first need to add your weather station/sensors (s) to Sectormentor following the steps above.
Get in touch with us at info@vidacycle.com for the next steps in setting up automatic integration.
Setting up automatic weather station integration with Sencrop
To set up your Sencrop weather station for automatic data integration into Sectormentor, you will first need to add your weather station to Sectormentor following the steps above.
You then need to link each of your Sencrop weather stations. To do this, log into your Sencrop account, follow the setup instructions for linking with Sectormentor as a
DST (Decision Support Tool), and email us (
info@vidacycle.com) with the confirmation code you are given for each of your weather stations. If you don't have permission to activate Sectormentor as a DST on your Sencrop account, it is likely you are not the 'owner' of the station in Sencrop, so you will need to get the station owner to do this step for you in this case.
Please make sure when you email us that it is clear which confirmation code belongs to each of the stations setup in Sectormentor so we can create the link.

If you have multiple weather stations, we will need you to email the confirmation code for each station, with a note to tell us which code corresponds to which weather station as it is named in Sectormentor.
Uploading weather station data manually with a CSV file
Select the name of the weather station, and select Upload weather data. Sectormentor then tells you the requirements of the type of file to be uploaded (blue box below). Once you have your csv file in the correct format then you can upload the file.

CSV upload file requirements
Must be a csv of daily weather data with the following columns
date: formatted as yyyy-mm-dd. E.g. 2020-03-01 for the 1st of March 2020.
temperature_min: the minimum temperature for the day in Degrees Celsius
temperature_max: the maximum temperature for the day in Degrees Celsius
